Julie is Manager of Red Hen and has been here since our opening in 2004. Julie has many qualities that make her an awesome Manager; she is friendly, knowledgeable and qualified, organised, and has a passion for her role, making Red Hen an amazing place for children and staff - and she has a wonderful laugh that makes us all smile!

Lucy

Lucy

Lucy is a Director and Lead EYP. She is the epitome of loveliness with a passion to make Red Hen a perfect place for children and staff. Lucy has a first-class degree in Rural Land Management and was a Charted Surveyor before joining our team when she retrained as an Early Years Professional. She also has Forest School training and Countryside Education (CEEVAS) and is an excellent cook. She leads in-house staff training and meetings, keeping the team focus on the well-being and development of our Red Hen children.

David and Jane Harrison

David and Jane Harrison

Directors of Red Hen with a hands-on approach. Both enjoy the honour of giving children and staff opportunities on this wonderful farm setting. 'Farmer David' is a great role model for the children. Jane has a first-class degree in Early Childhood and has a passion to give children a healthy, happy childhood, developing a broad range of skills and confidence.

Penny

Penny

Penny leads our Forest school practice, helps with admin, is relief cook and part-time Kindergarten practitioner; basically Penny has many skills which are utilised throughout the nursery. Penny has a first-class degree in Marketing and Management as well as Early Childhood and Forest School qualifications. Penny also organises baby sessions in the Granary which is adjacent to the nursery. Penny loves to involve the children in the 'real life' experiences of the farm such as looking after the ponies or fencing.
