Welcome to Red Hen Day Nursery
on the farm at Manor House Farm, Legbourne, Louth via our new entrance, The Granary on Reston Road.
"IT IS HARD TO IMAGINE A MORE REWARDING AND INTERESTING PLACE FOR A CHILD TO BE THAN RED HEN DAY NURSERY" (Wendy Scott, for Nursery World)
"CHILDREN THRIVE IN THIS INSPIRATIONAL NURSERY" (Ofsted)
Red Hen is a wonderful day nursery on a working farm in rural Lincolnshire. We are open for children from 0-5 years and are lucky to have private access to our own extensive outdoor areas. This is of immense benefit with the Coronavirus precautions. We are pleased that Red Hen also offers a safe place for outdoor visits and nature walks - by appointment only.
THE GRANARY area was set up in 2019 with funding as below. The Granary is now our entrance for the nursery so parents can talk safely to us through our protected hatch at the Granary office then drop-off to their respective bubble group outdoors. Exit is via our one-way system.
We have three dedicated areas where we can facilitate enabling environments for each bubble. The areas are rotated each week to give each bubble group a chance to experience the uniqueness of each area but in addition, all children access our nature areas every day as it is easy to keep the bubble groups seperate round and about our fields, ponds and woodlands. Bubble groups enjoy Red Hen's award-winning home-cooked meals in their respective areas and all children still enjoy plenty of cooking and baking.
The Granary upstairs is an amazing space that overlooks our paddocks and nature area. This area is now used as a space to compliment the mound area with extra toilets, changing area and large playroom.
We hope to resume baby sessions and training events when possible if there is easing of coronavirus precautions in the future.
We hope you enjoy our website which offers a little taste of what we have at Red Hen. For
