Our spaces and The Granary
As you drive in to our man entrance you get a glimpse of the extensive grounds and access to the countryside we are fortunate to have at Red Hen. There are paddocks, and large nature areas which include woodland and wetland areas, access to the fields adjacent to the main farm and there are even 'far-away woods' for more Forest School Adventures. There are ponies and chickens, guinea pigs and a foal born May 2022 and the children also benefit from seeing the owners frendly labradoodle.
The granary was opened in 2019 at Red Hen (funded by the European Fund for Rural Development.) This area has enhanced the nursery spaces with it's large office and large upstairs function room which overlooks our nature areas. This has enabled us to offer baby massage, baby yoga and yoga classes run by qualified leaders. Unfortunately Coronavirus put a stop on these but we are fortunate to have this gorgeous area for our baby nest bubble.
Once in the main nursery buildings, the spaces and natural light emit a wonderful ambience with the different rooms offering different experiences and inspiration. The kitchen is at the heart so it's easy for the children to enjoy cooking and baking too.
