Welcome to our website! We are an award-winning nursery with an excellent reputation both locally and nationally. Red Hen is privately owned on a farm. The owners and staff team are passionate about making it a perfect place for children and there is a lovely friendly family atmosphere in which children thrive. At Red Hen childhood is cherished and we work hard at ensuring each and everyone of our children have a happy beneficial time, making use of the fantastic and unique opportunities both indoors and outdoors on the farm. These provide meaningful learning through play which gives sound, all-round foundations that stand them in good stead for their future well-being, academic success and life. 'Red Hen' children go on to thrive in many different schools in the locality.
Although there is lots of information on this website, the only way to see and 'feel' our outstanding nursery is to visit first-hand. We welcome parent visits but it is advisable to phone first to ensure someone is available to show you round. Please give yourselves lots of time as we have lots to show you (children have regular access to 6 acres of our paddocks, woodland and nature play areas as well as all the indoor facilities). If you would like to look round from a professional point of view, Jane is available for consultancy, talks and advice. (See enquiries page)
What Lincolnshire County Council says about 'Red Hen':-
'Something special has been created here, children are stimulated and offered every opportunity to enjoy a rich learning environment within outstanding accomodation and provision. It is a unique setting, which draws effectively from its location and environment and offers every opportunity for children to be curious and learn from the real experiences which are available every day.'
Making the most of the recent windy weather!
